Since 1938, MLSN’s thought-provoking programs have given area residents opportunities to explore diverse topics ranging from literature, history, fitness, computers and technology, public policy and lifestyle issues as well as the chance to connect with people and places worldwide through local and international travel experiences.
Every year, MLSN offers close to 1,000 affordable non-credit classes, trips and special events spanning over 23 subject areas.
Classes are conveniently scheduled during the day, evenings and some weekends at the Creutzburg Center in Radnor, Tuesday evenings at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore and various locations throughout the Main Line.
Instructors come from local colleges and universities, corporations and businesses, the arts, sciences and other community based organizations.
Designed to fit into busy schedules, Smart Lunches, Hot Topic Happy Hours and Authors in the Afternoon series provide opportunities to engage with experts as they discuss such timely topics as climate change, healthcare and the political landscape.
Growth and creativity are intrinsic to MLSN’s mission. Besides deepening an understanding of a subject, students value the social and supportive aspects of classes.
